I can read and feel the anger and frustration. But I have seen this every time a retrogressed visa bulletin was released in last ten years. Appeals for unity and and urgent need for action. However, it turned out to be a storm in a tea cup. Hope its gonna be different this time.

I am EB3, and i know we EB3 are screwed , and EB2 are luckier than us.
There is no need to fight,
If we dont get the GC , we can go back home(for me home is india) .... believe me home is not so bad( even after the blasts) Just enjoy your time here, live for the moment.
I work for an employer , whom i value more than EB2 , so i dont want to port to EB2(Even when i filed for EB3 , i was eligible for EB2 , But my lawyers assistant , just wanted to play safe) Everyone has his own preferences.
I think this is a post , for the EB3 to crib , and talk (humans feel good after doing that) so let us do that.

Act fast, I know 20th is close, think about is as an emergency
Now is the time to really take this to the next level and push for real changes to employment-based processing. Or you can simply accept the reality that you have to wait ten years longer than everyone else to get a green card

IV core is very much aware of the problems as we ourselves face them, and working within our limited means and time. If you are interested, join us and give your helping hand.
Curious Techie..Core is you and me and dont post such things..but for the core EB-2 would not have been in a postion that it is today..they worked to get this done...you can request them in thier next meeting to bring this issue with USCIS\

Why did you come here instead of home country ... i came here to do the landing, and thought i'll do the visa stamping as well + Regular employer/ job /education questions ...come back tomorrow to collect the passport

I think lawsuit is always the "last" resort, esp. to us, legal immigrants. So long as there is a way to make sure they are treating us "fairly", no one wants to sue. This time, they just pushed us around so harshly that people could hardly bear it any more. Think about the past several years... all the chaos, backlogs, visa # wasted... Even if we are not given all the rights, we still need to fight for what we deserve. If no one chanllege status quo, slavery and segregation would still probably exist and women would still not be able to vote.
By the way, I think whatever we do to get the situation exposed, we need to put this episode into a context, i.e., the history of mistreatment of EB immigrants and the mismanagement of the green card process. In other word, we are not just a bunch of people (like illegals) who just walk in the street to demand green cards. We are sueing and demonstrating because the process is so mismanaged that we have been the victims for a long time. ... just my thoughts.

Just wanted to give you an update on my FP notice. Finally I got FP notice today schedule for 01/29/08. I guess Infopass appointment works. I had infopass appointment on 21st of Dec 2007 and IO told me I should expect FP within 3 weeks . I guess USCIS has started working after a long break. Hang on guys.

My concern is that if CIR does not get taken up sooner that May07...it may be postponed to 09 due to election politics being a hot potato issue...what I would suggest is that we start working from the first day the congress starts and whether through QGA or through indiviual senators try to pass just non-contraversial benefits like ability to file EAD after I-140, recapture of Visa numbers and Spouse and kid not included in the Visa numbers and intorduce this bill and try to pass it.
What we need is a interim EB bill.
The first stpes may be to indentify all non-contraversial issues and then come to a common understanding on those...advise all state chapters meet thier senators about these same issue(ALL members are talking the same)
Intorduce these no later than End of Jan 07 for discussion. in senate..Lets explain to them that its going on getting postponed due to the fact senators are postponing the benefits to us syaing it will be included in the CIR...and so on...they have been very sincere in delaying this intentionally....

Call USCIS on 1-800-375-5283. Then sequence to get the "Human" on line is 1-2-2-6-2-2-1.
They asked me to wait 90 days before calling in with questions related to Receipt notice. They are advised now that it will at least take 90 days to get the receipt notices completed.

Please read the Ombudsmans 2007 report pgs 17-21. These are not real processing times.
BTW, I can't believe there are *still* people on this forum who haven't read this report -- it spells out absolutely everything that is going on/wrong with all our greencards, and you can't be bothered to read it?? :cool:
