Everybody has been waiting for his/her green card and congratulations to all those who has got their GC. On the other hand it is really unfair and to some extent unethical on the part of USICS not follow a fair system.
There are several people in 2004, 2005 who have been paitently waiting for their turn only to see that people behind them getting approved.
Several of us have writtent to Ombudsman, Director but of no avail.
Not sure what else can be done? Any Idea? Do we have any liaison with AILA who can take up this matter.

With all due respect let me make a couple of observations here.
1) First you file a lawsuit that prevents fellow Eb3's from porting to Eb2 at a later date, even though those individuals may have advanced in their careers and would be eligible for better jobs.
2) Now that you have successfully broken a united community into two factions, you want the IV core to now further take up the "Eb2 cause" against the USCIS, because YOU cannot file a lawsuit against the USCIS (the 500 pound gorilla) an organization that doesnt give a c**p about the immigrants and even its own internal processing "rule"?
3) Let me ask you, WHY should the IV core help ONLY the Eb2 at this point. You and some other Eb2 members were and are flexing your muscles against the Eb3 members who have been suffering in the EXACT same manner. What exactly have YOU contributed towards uniting the Legal employment based community and what have YOU done to help the Core team so far, that you now ask the core team to specifically take the Eb2 non-sequential processing up with the law-makers?
If you see a problem with the non-sequential processing, why dont YOU write to your own senators/congressmen and ask them to follow up on your individual case?
One more thing, if you are planning on replying back saying that "This is my last post on IV" so be it. IV does not need members who think of just themselves. And yes if you are planning on giving me red/gray/green dots please feel free to do so.

I applied on July2,got the receipt on Aug 22 nd.Got EAD,AP.
One strange thing is my case is NSC to CSC but still in CSC only .I think except my case,all others cases transfred back to NSC.I do not know the reason.

Today i added my old H1B (2003) case to my portfolio..i saw LUD on it...LUD date is '14th july 2007'...not sure...14th july is saturday...but no surprise...i saw lot of people posted that their LUD was on weekends....Is it good indication? sorry if i am asking unnecessary question..

All the posts above are good coping measures, and some are used to actually deal with depressive symptoms. However they have missed the MOST important one! You used the term clinical depression. Please if you truly feel that way seek help, and seek it now, talk to your doctor or to a councilor. Though I won't go into details, I am speaking from personal experience. Sometimes things build up so much that we slip into such a state where we go beyond sadness and frustration and move to true depression.

I called there office but no clue what SKIL bill is about (Washington DC).
Can any one explain the source of this bill.
First and foremost, DO NOT CONTACT Sen. Cornyn's office.
We are privy to some information and we were told that Sen. Cornyn might introduce this to the senate today. When we say might, it means that there is a good chance he may not do so too!
And introducing just means that he will get a number assigned to it. It will NOT be debated today. The debate timeframe is decided by the majority and minority leaders Frist and Reid respectively.
We just wanted to share with you what we learned. When we learn more, we will let you guys know. For right now, all we know is in the first post.
And FYI, there are some decent provisions in this bill especially related to STEM. Also presents a solution to retrogression wherein Adjustment of Status would be possible in spite of no visa being available.

Mine is a labor substitution case. Labor PD: 02/2007. I-140 filed on 06/29/2007 in NSC and received the case number and also notice of action (I-797). If it is not a labor substitution case, then it would have been filed in TSC.
I live in Texas and my attorney filed I-1485 in TSC on 08/02/2007.
Whether my I-140 (based on labor substitution) will be transferred to TSC, from NSC? Or my I-485 will be transferred from TSC to NSC? How this transfer of cases from one center to another happening?

Well she suggested that she had scheduled the FP appointment and said that I should be getting my FP notices in 30 days.
I am hoping that its the truth !!
If your case is in TSC then it means that they have submitted the request to schedule you. That does not mean that they have scheduled you.
But for any other center, it maybe true that they scheduled the FP for you because I have read the previous posts of people getting it within 30 days for other centers.

My date is not current but I understand the frustration here. However I beleive USCIS is under severe pressure to reduce the backlogs and not waste any numbers this year....so they are trying to exhaust them as and when they can...in that scenaio I guess lower hanging fruits are getting picked.
But on the bright side as I see it as more and more people get their GCs its a smaller line and the officers should be able to get to everyone's file in due course.
I completely believe the system should be FIFO but then don't you think that will be too logical for the USCIS......
Hopefully if they are able to get a lot of people out of the way they should go back to normal processing from October when new numbers are available and the pressure is somewhat less.....
Again above is my theory. I hope everyone gets their green cards soon and the line keeps moving.

These type of analogy is nothing but a bullshit. USCIS under pressure??? What pressure? Who do they care? Why should they worry? Whole immigration system is a circus(jumbo, gemini circus) playing with our lives and with full of jokers making fun of us.

While I feel the same pain that you do, what I would like to state is:
H1 is an unique employment scenario. H1s are hired to fill in shortages and hence employers are under no obligation to consider H1s ahead of green card holders or US citizens.
Also any good company that you want to work for will consider all candidates based on their skills and not the visa status.
So the company that says only GC holders or USC may not be a good company to work for in the end.

I also want USCIS to count my legal presence in the US prior to obtaining permanent residency (GC) for naturalization purposes. (Canada does this - 50% credit for time spent legally before obtaining permanent residency).

Unless we all make a collective effort no one is going to listen to us. I know the fate of my post we all people are busy to get our post noted or express our opinion that we have lost our fous of what our main problem is. I think we deserve this perhaps I dont think if we continue like this we even deserve GCs.

My husband received CPO mail on 08/04, welcome mail on 08/05, soft LUD on 08/06 and approval notice sent mail on 08/09 but dated 08/08 in USCIS status. Hoping to have the GC in hand next week.
