I asked IV core on what version of immigration bill they support because I and other people wanted to know since there are so many amendments to the current immigration bill and Now I log in to see , the thread is missing, why, my question was straight forward, again I am asking them on what form of immigration bill they support. I highly doubt In what they are doing looks like they are working for the benefit of them self. Guys please don’t be ignorant and its your right to ask the question don’t be a dumb crowd but ask questions.
I am too in the same GC queue with I140 and I485 filed and pending, so don’t count me as anti – immigrant but also want to see the betterment of others too who are in GC process and will be effected due to the introduction of the new bill.

Just remeber the core group (only 10/12 people) are not the only persons affected by backlog and retrogression. So even if they work for their own benefits, that will indirectly benefit people like you and me. Instead of screwing the core group, why don't you ask them how you may offer your service to IV.

If CNN drops Lou that will not pass CIR or recapture. There are so much Lou Dobbs are there in USA. It is a waste of time.

I believe in freedom of speech but Dobbs is using the CNN platform to spew hate. A legitimate debate is fine but hate speech is not ok.
I used to believe that ignore him was the best way to deal with him but after seeing some of the so called Tax parties, I am starting to think that ignoring him does not work.
Please also post this to other web forums, facebook, twitter and send emails to your friends and colleagues asking them to sign the petition.

As promised I have prepared the list of 110th congress member and send to Himanshu. Hope he likes the format.
I am working on getting appointment with our congress member - John Barrow of GA.
Based on the list I prepared, it seems maximum number of congress member come from NY,NJ,FL,CA,TX,IL. So I think member from these states have to be more active.

cool_guy_onnet1: I assume you have not applied AOS (485) for your wife. You will not be able to do it until the PD become current. You should maintain your H1 status, so find a new H1 sponsoring employer and transfer your H1. Do not use your EAD/AP, it will void your H1 status and you guys will have to stay apart.

H1 extensions are never subjected to cap. But if U start using EAD (by filing I-9) then U loose H1 status and hence U break the continuity of H1, so in future if U decide to go back to H1B (for reason like 485 rejected), then U have to apply a NEW H1 which is subjected to cap (not applicable for cap-exempt employment).
H4 is not lost when U use EAD, it is just that U R in AOS status on H4. It is similar to F1, F1 status doesn't allow ppl to work outside campus, but after U graduate, U can work anywhere on EAD (for 1yr) and still be on F1 status and travel using F1. In my particular case, when i signed the contract, the employer agreed to pay for my GC process. But as usual, My employer also did not follow the contract and when my labor was approved, he asked me to pay for the Labor and take care of GC application fees hence forth. I was kind of surprised and did argue with my employer. But Employer gave me an option to leave his company and move to a diff company if needed. But since the labor was approved and the current project was going fine, i thought of sticking with the company and agreed on paying the GC fees.
I dont know if we can really go and harass our employer to re-imburse the GC expenses as they know what they are doing and what are the consequences if they go back on their words..I think they know pretty well about all the loopholes in this immigration process.

call USCIS and ask them about the problem. If you get a good IO, they will open a ticket to consolidate. Try until, you get someone who sounds knowledgeable. Then take a infopass at your local office after a week to see if that helps any. I did that and took a infopass for this friday to check at local office. My PD is nov 2004. I will keep you posted.

Since PD are essentially retrogressed from Nov. 2005, we can assume that since then another 100,000 Indians have joined the GC backlog. It can also be assumed that between 2001 and Nov. 2005 there must be another (atleast) 50,000 waiting for GC.
Assuming these numbers are correct, a person filing for labor today is looking to wait for atleast 15 years before getting a GC (150,000/10,000).
As for those wth PD prior to Nov. 2005 - well..... probably anywhere between 1 to 5 years .....

As long as your old I140 is not withdrawn, you can file 485. I think even if it is withdrawn, there still might be a chance, check with your NEW lawyer.

I sent a single check of $745 just for my wifes app, my employer sent the $745 check for me , this included all including biometrics, why would they be crazy to receipt one app and reject another both within the same packet, for reason like 'improper filing fees', i am upset.
