Hey Renata,
It was struggle with my wife;thanks God she got the EAD more than a year ago. Therefore she is working now and a little happier. I am also OK in my current work. The problem is that I have missed more than 4 job offers that would allow further career growth and potential much better rewards.
Since my wife couldn't work, we had a baby back then.
Tell me, which country in Europe are you from ? I have a very good friend of mine who is Italian. By the way, if you are in the Seattle, WA area, feel free to come over and join us. We get together for good wine, lasagna, "churrasco", etc pretty much every weekend with our Italian friends. The way I see it, is that while we wait for this insane visa bulletin advancement, at least we should allow ourselves to drink a good wine and eat nicely :-)

Hello All,
I was wondering if someone could please explain what the processing dates mean.... For Texas 485 processing date is April 2007. Does this mean they are adjucating 485 applications received in April 2007? I am confused- does this mean that anyone who applied for AOS after april 2007 will not get their GC even if their PD is current? I am just trying to understand the process. Thanks in advance!

I-485 filed during Jun-Jul 2007 rush, FP done, waiting for PD to become current
Right now I am working on H1-B extension, and to make things complicated, I got married in Jul 2008 and brought spouse on H4.

I suggest IV not sharing any more information to free members like us. Sensitive information should not be shared. Even anti immigrants read our forums. We will know if IV thinks it is okay to share. Let people who give their time and money to IV to help us have it as an incentive for helping all of us. Getting a bill passed is more important than knowing about the bill.

This is going to be an issue for lot of folks who all filed for I-485 in the last year July fiasco. We will be forced renew every time. Only by giving 2 years is just a temporary postponement but not solving the real problem.
It is like Drivers Lincense renewal. If you have your documentation and you have been driving legally should be granted renewal instantly. Why can't they do the same thing with EAD?

These are all good suggestions and translate well from my film days. I also read that, whereas in b&w the adage was expose for the shadows and develop (or print) for highlights, in digital it is the reverse - expose to preserve detail in the highlights and then use your curves in RAW to fix the shadows where you want them. So I'll have to put all that to work this week / weekend. If the flowers stay around, that is.

No there is no premium processing process for waiver applications. There seems to be no apparent order in the order they are adjudicated. Once the Department of State recommends you for a waiver you may apply for H1B change of status with the recommendation alone. If ur H1B application is filed for premium processing then the USCIS might adjudicate the waiver within 15 days as part of the h1b processing.

Basically, you get 1 credit for a quarter of year, so 4 credits a year. If you have lived and worked 8 full years and 6 months for the year when you came and 6 months the year you depart from the country, you will,be fine. So bottom line is 40 quarters i.e. 10 Years i.e (1 quarter is 3 months) of gainfully employed time and having paid SS Taxes.

now days there is a SEPRATE quota for RETURNING WORKERS in Us consulte for renewing stamp. I used it 6 months ago. I Went to VFS on 23rd Nov 2005 and got appt for 30th Nov for stamping @ mumbai consultate. Got stamped and collected passport same evening in person.

I do have same query since I got a offer from teksystem and not sure if i join them would i be in the same trouble during AC21. Can i even do AC21, what should i do.
Anyone please advice, what happens if i join this contract position, leaving my perm job since they are not able to give me projects and not paying either. So later on once this contract is over and if I join a perm job, will there be any questions if I do not do AC21 now.
Please help. Is there any chance of getting my I-1485 rejected. I-140 approved 3 years back and Got EAD 2 years back too.

I have my H1B till 2010. Say on my way back from India I used AP. The AP is valid till Nov 2008. What will be my new I94 expiry date? Am I reading it correctly that if I present my H1B to the POE he stamps the I94 with 2010 Expiry date. If I don't show him my H1B then he stamps the I94 with Nov 2008 expiry date.
1. If the officer stamps my I94 with Nov 2008 expiry date, how can we get it extended after entering US.
2. Is it by filing another H1B extension?
