Guys ... please help. I am trying to get PCC from my local police station and they are giving me hell time here... and I am running out of time. The local police station guys are saying that they will only give a letter in white paper (No letter head) and they are insisting that it will not be used. What shall I do and I have to submit my documents by tuesday by latest.....

1.. is the letter given by the local police station with out the letter head will e accepted in the Consulate?
2.. If not can we get a PCC from the commisioner office?

I was recently audited by Someone from Dept of Homeland Security regarding my H1-B visa status.He asked several questions regarding my position,job duties,pay,work hrs
How long I was associated with my current company, What was my previous job and job duties,How long I am in US etc.
I couldn't provide him the proof of the pay as I didn't had the pay stub to show him at that moment.
I asked him is this just rutine procedure ?He said this is recently started process to check H1B fraud.
Does any one else had same experience?

Oracle applications, Oracle financials, Siebel, SAP are good fields to enter. Data warehousing is hot and a lot of people get trained. Consulting companies have fulltime trainers and there are a lot of courses you can take.

After reading the alert on immigration-law.com website I contacted my firm's attorney. According to them they have requested 3yrs extension based on my approved I-140. Now since the dates are current, they may grant either 3yr or 1yr extension. But, they won't deny the h1 extension petition.

I received a receipt confirmation for my I-140 petition. It shows that they received on March 24, 2006. I tried to check on the status on USCIS website in case status. I could not find my case so far. Does it take so long to be updated. I am worried if my petition is misplaced somewhere...
Please give me your advice.

I am sorry to hear that. But this is absolutely new to me. As soon as we got the receipt number we were able to check online status ....
have you punched in all the letters and numbers correctly? Pay attention to that, because if you mistake one number you will not get accurate result..
If the number you are typing is correct than something must be wrong on their side and you can call 800 number to inquire via attomated system about your case...

From your case alone this is rather a sweeping judgment. I can assure you they do NOT process based on receipt date if they did my husbands EAD which was received on May 3rd would be approved by now and yours would not. He is still waiting thirteen weeks on.

If your case is I-140 + I- 485 applied at the same time, then word on the street is they will process both at the same time rather than processing I140 first then wait for visa dates and process I485, hope you are already aware of this rumor/speculation or truth.

I hope it doesn't affect Employee (original labor) who have left GC employer using AC-21 with approved I-140 and after 180 days.
This interpretation is game changer for life of many EB immigrants. It should be implemented for going forward but at least should not affect those who used it by the interpretation of that time.

I do have same query since I got a offer from teksystem and not sure if i join them would i be in the same trouble during AC21. Can i even do AC21, what should i do.
Anyone please advice, what happens if i join this contract position, leaving my perm job since they are not able to give me projects and not paying either. So later on once this contract is over and if I join a perm job, will there be any questions if I do not do AC21 now.

1) UK gov changed qualifying period for "indefinite leave to stay" from 4 years to 5 years. Without a grand father clause. UK gov won this.
2) NHS (state heath system) discriminated against those with UK work visa without "indefinite leave to say". That is called a Highly Skilled Migrant Programme.
For comparison with US system
indefinite leave to say == green card. Much easier to get in UK, wait time fixed at 5 years (up from 4).

First of all, this is a wrong forum to went our your points about illegals.. We in IV encourage a legal immigration. But the moment we start excluding people, the list can go on and on.. You start with so called illegasl today (with due sympathy for using that word..), but this exclusion will go on to legals, new doctors, engineers willing to come, settle and work in USA. Remember this is a land of immigrants. If you have any doubt, just look at the new bills introduced by senators to effectively kill H1B program the only legal option for most educated to come to US.
Lets for instance say we want everyone to go back to their own countries.. Where do you want to draw that line to go back, 1980?, 1900? how about 1600??

We had 4-5 continueous LUD's after couple of weeks they recieved response (June 2009) but still status is showing response reeived.
Recently even changed job to local government but not yet submitted AC 21, I am in the process of preparing documentation. I appreciate if any one help me on this.

So just to sumup all your openion is:
Job title should be same or not? I got 50-50 response on this. Do not know what to say, but kind of thinking may differ.
Job Description on offer letter? should match word to word with LC
Salary? OK as long as it is heigher.
company size? does not matter.
Please let me know if all the above assumptions are correct.

People who did BSc and BA...have gotten thier Gc approved recently...by getting pre-approved..LC's applying in e2-rir even though they do not qualify in EB2.people who did MS from top schools and stayed with good companies are in e2/ e3 categories are in BEC.....What an irony..
