The McCain-Kennedy bill is what had the EB provisions in the first place long before Frist or Martinez-Hagel put their bills. Senator Kennedy has been fighting for immigrants rights for almost 40 years (longer than someone of us have been alive) including legal immigration. His own brother President John F. Kennedy wrote a book called - We are a nation of immigrants.
I am sorry but with all due respect to Sen Kennedy he could address the rally of bunch of illegals waiving Mexican Flag and demanding their "RIGHTS" in Spanish. We have sent faxes in English to Senetor Kennedy requesting to support Bill that will provide relief to Legal immigrant communites but still nothing specific to our cause.
Please let us refrain from making conclusions as to who was at the rally, there were many legal immigrants and citizens at the DC rally of many nationalities and backgrounds, it was covered live on CSPAN twice for its entire 4 hr duration -- CSPAN as you know is funded by US public funds and would not cover an event dominated by illegals. The US constitution guarantees constitutional freedoms and rights to all who are within its borders and that would include the right to assembly and freedom of speech. FYI, there are 43 million Hispanic-Americans in the US. The DC rally had just as many American flags as many other rallies around the country on April 10. Senator Kennedy has done a lot for legal immigrants, but lets face it, with no CIR, there will be no separate bill for legal immigrants, we would have to rely on ammendments to other bills and those ammendments would be subject to the fate of sections 8001 and 8002 of S1932. First check with the school if they will allow you to attend on EAD. I'll like to know what you finally decide. I was in a similar situation 3 yrs back and decided to go part-time instead. Finished the program and my gc is still pending :(

AS it is people are so stressed out attending medical appts 200 miles away from home. and being poked with vaccinations in all possible places..damn the body pain after DPT is miserable
also the details of the applications and the volatility of the way things may change ; ignoring the fact that everything is in the hands of your employer/lawyer.....
not to forget that the financial misery if you are filing for self + 2 dependents + lawyer fees is exceeding 5k...
why do you want open such nonsensical threads and raise the adrenalin...???
i wouldnt be surprised to be diagnosed with adrenalin tumor if this situation persists long...

Once this is over, she can sue the jerk that caused her so much grief.
I agree, most of these cases blow over with time but better safe that sorry.

Today my sister got a phone call from a Detective saying that she is suspecting on Jewelery theft from a neighborhood. We shocked for getting that type of call. The person who complainted is close to my family. He is also Indian and from same region. Recently he moved from my city. He lost couple of jewelery items this year.
My sister is very good and try to help most of the people nearby. The detective said that investigation is going on for this issue. We are so worrying on this issue.
We know she is genuine and did not do anything but my question is any problem in green card process?.
How to prove my sister is not commited such kind of activity. Please try to help me on this

Did u take help from any third party guys who arrange things for you like bank draft/getting mexican permit and other stuff?
Could you list out documents you carried for stamping?
Yes I contacted one of the agents I found on the internet (mexico assistance) who arranged the trip and the hotel accomodations on both sides of the border. I carried all the documents that are usually asked for stamping but the VO wanted to see only my employement verification letter.

Does anyone know if the latest Frist amendment to the bill would still allow H1's etc to file for 218 as outlined above? I did some more reading and I am still confident the analysis above is an option for many H1's like myself.
Frankly I'd be happy to wait six years for a GC if it meant I could be out of this continual H1/LC/140/485 rat-race. Being able to be self employed would be a huge positive for me. I'm already on my second LC and I am involved in founding my second new company. For executives the H1/GC process is useless because you frequently get promoted or change titles, and by the time your LC is near processing it's likely that the original application is no longer supportable. Plus, if you own equity in the company that opens a whole can of worms that the USCIS will object to.
I don't care if 218D is supposed to be for 'illegal' immigrants. Hell, I'll learn Spanish! Via con dios! Obras son amores y no buenas razones!
